The team at the University of Birmingham were outstanding and have been a pleasure to work with throughout SportsAid's planning and delivery of the Team England Futures programme at the Commonwealth Games. We collaborated with several departments and teams and every interaction was helpful, enthusiastic, efficient and effective. We've been impressed with the reliability and professionalism of everyone who contributed to the success of Team England Futures, and we couldn't have done it without them. Thank you. We wanted to plan some social activities for our delegates to enjoy and the C&E team couldn’t have been more helpful. They have such a great knowledge of Birmingham and were more than happy to arrange everything for us so we didn’t have to. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

The C&E team managed all our registrations online and even looked after our event communications before, during, and after the event. It’s thanks to their support that we were able to offer a fantastic and smooth experience to all attendees.

With attendees from 6 different continents, we had to stick to a really tight budget to ensure it was accessible for all - but the team helped us get the most out of it. They took care of all our budgeting needs to ensure we didn’t overspend and we did deliver a great experience.

Thanks to the Conference and Events team we manged to organize a hybrid meeting in the middle of a pandemic. I even had the opportunity to enjoy the meeting without the hassle of checking if everything was running smoothly, as it was so well managed by the team.

My sincere thanks for the excellent support that Sam provided to our annual lecture on Thursday. Through the whole process, Sam was so professional and supportive – nothing was too much trouble, and all the little touches were thought of. On the night itself I really appreciated how Sam just took care of everything so we could focus on looking after the speaker and the audience. Everyone was very complimentary about the event, and the food - which was all eaten with no leftovers – great for sustainability!

From the moment I arrived to be shown up to the room, with Yin and George arriving to brief on facilities as soon as I was in the room then Abdul checking in discretely throughout; and the fantastic catering service from Andy and his team; it was absolutely brilliant and meant I was able to concentrate on what I was providing for the meeting knowing that everything was taken care of. That gave me such confidence as the event started and progressed through the day. I really can’t thank you enough, it made the whole experience of running the event at The Exchange very enjoyable.

Thank you for the positive and clear way you work. The decisions you made without having to bother me were well judged. The management of space within the Great Hall was excellent, your liaison with the dinner venue was extremely helpful, the catering choices on campus were excellent, and the management of speakers’ slides (which can be very challenging) seemed to go very smoothly! Your work with the conference abstract book was particularly appreciated. We were given a particular round of applause for the facilities and coordination of the meeting.
