Welcome to our new Staff House meeting rooms

The third floor of Staff House has had a complete refresh, and it’s now open for all University of Birmingham staff to book their next event on campus.  Your guests will get a warm welcome from Esther Wain, our newest Events Coordinator for bookings at Staff House and on campus.  

Capturing the spirit of the city

In celebration of the University’s connection to our city, the newly refurbished rooms are inspired by Birmingham’s most loved and iconic places; each room has a new name and a new look, including Grand Central, The Mailbox and Brindleyplace. From intimate boardrooms to larger cabaret-style theatre spaces, our rooms cater to a range of meeting and event formats.

Your event, your way

Whether you’re planning a team lunch, a celebration, or a brainstorming session, Esther, alongside our friendly team of experts, are always happy to discuss your plans and help advise on timings to make sure everything goes swimmingly. From tech for hybrid meetings to catering and access, we can support you with all the information you need for a meeting at the heart of campus.

A warm welcome

Esther is the newest member of our Conferences and Events team and will be providing a personal, friendly welcome to all Staff House clients and visitors, ensuring your experience is smooth from the moment you arrive.

Bringing a wealth of experience spanning hospitality, retail, education, and tax consulting, she’ll be on hand to deliver seamless, memorable events at Staff House.

She said, ‘I’m really excited to be part of the team. Staff House is such a vibrant and important space for colleagues across the University, and I’m looking forward to helping everyone feel supported and looked after when they visit.’
