Introducing our Venue Collective

Introducing our Venue Collective

Imagine this: Welcome your delegates at an eye-opening exhibition in our impressive Great Hall, followed by an informal outdoor social with delicious street food in the historic Aston Webb. Enjoy two days of stimulating discussion, networking and inspiring talks at our state-of-the-art lecture theatres, with bespoke tours of the Lapworth Museum of Geology and Winterbourne House and Garden. Entertain VIPs with a lavish three-course meal in the Banking Hall at The Exchange before finishing a conference in a 1,200-capacity city-centre venue with a keynote speech which hits headlines across the world.

We’re extremely proud of our diverse portfolio of event spaces, but we’ve partnered with city centre venues to create a Venue Collective to extend our offer.

If you’re looking to spread events across campus and the city centre, need an extra-large conference space, or we can’t accommodate your specific dates, we can now draw on the wider Venue Collective and bring your vision to life.

We work closely with trusted partners from Birmingham’s conferencing community so we can match you with spaces that align with your scale and priorities.

All our partner venues are superbly well connected, and in easy reach of our Edgbaston campus which boasts its own University Station. And as some of the UK’s most well-established conferencing facilities, they’re run to the exceptionally high standards you would expect.

Head of Conferences and Events Sally Badham said: ‘We champion both the extraordinary groundbreaking work of our academics and our wonderful city, and the Venue Collective gives us more scope to do both. We’re delighted to work with some of the best industry experts in the region to be able to offer even more for our clients.

Speak to us about bringing conferences to Birmingham that make an impact. We will help you make it happen.’

The Studio’s Commercial Director Julian Kettleborough added: ‘We’re delighted to see enquiries being referred between city centre venues who share the same values as us in terms of accessibility, sustainability and – above all – the guarantee of a warm welcome to our guests.

‘As established venues with very positive relationships with our guests it’s also great to work together to ensure opportunities stay within the city and continue to benefit the local economy. This really highlights the confidence we have in the quality of venues we’re partnering with.’

As the UK’s first civic university, supporting our region is at the core of our activities, and  the Venue Collective helps position Birmingham as the UK’s top destination for high-quality, memorable events.
