The University of Birmingham is proud to host the UK Atmospheric Science Conference 2019.

Led by the Royal Meteorological Society and the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, this 2-day conference has brought together research scientists and operational meteorologists to share knowledge and ideas.

Showcasing new developments

#ASC2019’s cross-disciplinary nature allows an exchange of the very latest developments in atmospheric science. Speakers, workshops, posters and presentations feature topics as diverse as machine learning in Earth Sciences, air pollution removal by vegetation, and the impact of topographic changes in the atmosphere on heat increase in the Middle East.

This vital research now carries an urgency and significance for a wider public like never before.

A fitting location
