Located at the heart of campus, Staff House offers a collection of flexible, contemporary spaces ideal for meetings, networking events, exhibitions, private dinners, or smaller conferences.

Following recent refurbishment, the top floor features stylish, interconnecting rooms with views across the Green Heart and the Old Joe clocktower.

In a nod to our civic responsibility as a university, the rooms are named after iconic locations across the city – an intentional connection to Birmingham’s cultural and historical landscape.

Spaces range from boardrooms for up to 18, to larger rooms accommodating up to 80 guests’ banquet-style. Rooms are equipped with built-in AV, including screens, and the entire floor can be hired exclusively – offering breakout spaces, catering areas, and a self-contained layout with lift access and dedicated toilets for a seamless, uninterrupted experience.

Our event catering packages are available across all spaces, with layout flexibility to suit your event style and flow.

    A sleek, contemporary boardroom ideal for meetings of up to 18 people. Professional yet inviting, it’s perfect for focused discussions or executive sessions.

  • Cannon Hill

    A flexible space with partition doors, Cannon Hill can serve as a breakout catering area for Grand Central or host an intimate meeting. Capacity: up to 8 people.

  • Snow Hill

    Similar to The Interchange, Snow Hill offers dual functionality ideal as a catering space for Grand Central or a small meeting room. Capacity: up to 8 people.

  • Mailbox

    A dedicated boardroom for up to 16 people, perfect for team meetings or workshops.

  • Brindleyplace

    Another boardroom option for up to 16 delegates, offering a modern, professional setting.

  • Jewellery Quarter

    Accommodating up to 40 guests in banqueting style, Jewellery Quarter is ideal for smaller dinners, networking receptions, or intimate celebrations.

  • Centenary Square

    A versatile space that supports catering for Jewellery Quarter or functions as an independent meeting room for up to 16 in boardroom style.

  • Grand Central

    Our largest space, Grand Central accommodates up to 80 guests in theatre or banqueting style, and 48 - 72 in cabaret style. Flooded with natural light and offering unrivalled views of the Green Heart and iconic Old Joe clocktower, it’s a standout setting for any event.
