From March to November 2026, The Exchange in Birmingham city centre offers a unique setting for both relaxed drinks receptions and elegant dinners. Guests can network or dine in our stunning Banking Hall, illuminated by Helios – a bespoke light installation inspired by the Greek sun god. Designed to evoke atmosphere, brilliance, and wonder, Helios transforms every occasion into something truly memorable. Let your guests bask in the glow of the extraordinary.
Experience Helios: The 2026 showcase at The Exchange
As we move closer to the arrival of Helios, the breathtaking installation created by British artist Luke Jerram, we’re opening our doors for a special preview on Thursday 19 March 2026.
This is your opportunity to be the first to experience the illuminated Banking Hall before Helios officially launches for private receptions, banquets and networking events, from March to November 2026.
The Exchange is known for its beautiful period features, flexible event spaces and accessibility. As experts in event delivery and management, we’re offering something a little bit different for your 2026 events. Events held under Helios will truly shine. The installation created by British artist Luke Jerram, is a fusion of solar imagery, sunlight with a specially created surround sound composition by Duncan Speakman and Sarah Anderson. A programme of public events exploring the sun through the lens of University of Birmingham research will coincide with our display of Helios at The Exchange.
