Experience events in a new light

From March to November 2026, The Exchange in Birmingham city centre offers a unique setting for both relaxed drinks receptions and elegant dinners. Guests can network or dine in our stunning Banking Hall, illuminated by Sun – a bespoke light installation inspired by the Greek sun god. Designed to evoke atmosphere, brilliance, and wonder, Sun transforms every occasion into something truly memorable. Let your guests bask in the glow of the extraordinary.

Follow the light

The Exchange is known for its beautiful period features, flexible event spaces and accessibility. As experts in event delivery and management, we’re offering something a little bit different for your 2026 events. Events held under Sun will truly shine. The installation created by British artist Luke Jerram, is a fusion of solar imagery, sunlight with a specially created surround sound composition by Duncan Speakman and Sarah Anderson.  A programme of public events exploring the sun through the lens of University of Birmingham research will coincide with our display of Sun at The Exchange.
