Our beautiful campus

From museums and historic attractions to botanic gardens, soak up some culture and relax between meetings. From museums to botanic gardens, our campus has it all.

Discover a green oasis

Enjoy a gentler pace of life at Winterbourne House and Garden, a gorgeous Edwardian Arts and Crafts family home. The house has been lovingly restored with original William Morris wallpaper and boasts a beautiful seven-acre garden that’s guaranteed to delight all year round.

Get your culture fix

One of the finest small picture galleries in the world, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts features an outstanding collection of Western art. Here you can discover masterpieces by Van Gogh, Rossetti, Botticelli, Turner, Gainsborough and many more.

Step back in time

Home to one of the UK’s finest fossil, mineral and rock collections, the Lapworth Museum of Geology is a treasure trove of natural wonders. Here you can immerse yourself in over 3.5 million years of history and come face-to-face with a life-sized allosaurus.

Enjoy a breath of fresh air

At the heart of campus lies the Green Heart, a 12-acre parkland planted with 160 trees, native plants, and wildflowers. Explore the works of world-renowned artists on our Sculpture Trail, and say hello to ‘Old Joe’, the world’s tallest clocktower named after our first chancellor Joseph Chamberlain.

Dine in style

Our restaurants cater to all sorts of tastes and budgets. A particular highlight is Cuore on the Green Heart, which serves Mediterranean dishes from noon until 6pm; and 1900 Restaurant and Bar at the University’s own Edgbaston Park Hotel, where you can enjoy everything from sharing platters to afternoon tea and a three-course meal.
