A fantastic three-course meal fit for a dinosaur!
It’s not every day you get to eat with a dinosaur but some very few brave guests chose to dine in style at the amazing Lapworth Museum of Geology.
Guests from the Russell Group Universities were exclusively invited by the Vice-Chancellor to attend a glorious three-course meal at the Lapworth, overlooked by the tall and formidable skeleton of an allosaurs. But fear not, the dinosaur behaved.

The decision to host the formal dinner at the venue was influenced by one guest, a geologist avidly interested in all things rocks and fossils. The Lapworth, with its large exhibits of ancient geological collections, was the perfect match to host the prestigious event and create a dramatic impression.

Conference and Events helped to deliver the memorable night
All hands were on deck to transform the exhibition space. Displays had to be carefully moved to fit the square-style seating plan, tables and chairs had to be transported, and the food was prepared on-site. Guests were treated to a bespoke menu, from Birmingham Balti Chicken, Severn and Wye Salmon and vegan strawberry delice. The visual effects, with the fantastic pink, red and blue lights, looked striking against the fossils and skeletons of long-extinct dinosaurs. They were brought and set up by the AV team to create a spectacular dining area.
With guests happily mingling with a small drinks reception before sitting down to a delicious three-course meal, it was apparent that the event was a great success.

Unique and exclusive to small dinners and drinks receptions, this is the perfect venue for events wanting that extra special touch.
