Meet with confidence

How we’re helping you to meet safely.

Your safety and wellbeing come first. At Conferences & events, we’ve introduced a range of measures to support you, from changing our catering to adapting our venues.

We’re following the UK government’s advice on safe working and social distancing. We’re also finding creative solutions so you can continue to meet with confidence – outdoors, virtually or in safe small groups.

Six-point plan

A full risk assessment of each building has taken place before re-opening, and we’ve installed additional measures like perspex screens.

You’ll find social-distancing markers throughout campus to aid staff, students and visitors.

Our cleaners are working harder than ever and are keeping event spaces clean throughout the day. We have also installed more hand-sanitising stations.

We’ve amended the capacities of all of our meetings and events spaces, taking in to account the current social distancing guidelines.

Our food and beverage service has changed to minimise interaction, in accordance with food safety recommendations.

You can enjoy lunch in pre-packed bento boxes, and drinks will be served either in bottles, or from vending machines using environmentally-friendly disposable cups.

The team have all completed an online training course on social distancing and safety measures, so you can trust their knowledge is up to date.

Friendly faces everywhere

You’ll have a friendly and experienced event coordinator to help you with planning and any concerns – so if the guidance changes, or you need advice, you’ll be supported to make the best decisions.
